DYR2010 March 2010 Dear sailors and guests, From May 13 – 16 2010 the DYR Foundation organises the combined Open Dutch Championships and Class Championships in co-operation with the involved class-associations, Zeilvereniging Workum’ and the Watersportverbond, in the following classes:
This year we say farewell to the Hobie 16 class. The number of participants in this discipline has not grown as might have been expected and also participation from abroad to have a extended competitive field has hardly taken place. This vacancy has been taken over by the laser standard youth. This year further steps will be taken to make the DYR a real youth event. In the Notice Of Race age limits are included per class. The organisation of the 2010 edition is well on their way again and we are looking forward to a series of fantastic races in a friendly and sportive atmosphere. We are once again welcome in the Aquaresort It Soal in Workum, The Netherlands. To our regret RENAULT Nederland is no longer our main sponsor, but we thank Renault for their great support the past years. Market conditions at this moment have their effect, reason why we have not yet been able to welcome a new main sponsor. We are however very proud to welcome Bouwe Bekking as new member of our comity of recommendation. The NOTICE OF RACE is now available on this site with information about the participating classes, age limits, fees and the date of start of entry on march 22. This NOR is still subject to approval by the Dutch Federation. The final Notice of Race will follow shortly before the start of the Regatta. Therefore check the website regularly for new messages.
