April 2008

Dear Sailors and guests,

The date of the DUTCH YOUTH REGATTA 2008 approaches very quickly now.
From 1 – 4 May the races will be sailed from Workum on the IJsselmeer.

Entry is closed now. Please check that your name appears on the entry list on this site. All double payments have been refunded.

For more information on the races – see the Notice of Race (NOR) and the Sailing Instructions (SI).

The camping where we are hosted has installed a new registration plate registration system in order to be fully informed about presence on the camping ground (also for legal safety reasons). Each car will be registered upon arrival. When you are not staying at the camping as a camping guest you have to pay a registration fee of € 5,-- per car for the duration of the whole event (incl. training days).
A speed limit of 10 km/hr is in force and will be strictly maintained. Violation means definite removal of the vehicle from the camping grounds. We ask your understanding for these measures by the management of the camping.

We hope to see you all in Workum, the weather forecast looks good with rising temperatures to normal springtime values so we expect to have very sportive races.

Chairman Dutch Youth Regatta
